How to delete posts

How do we delete posts on the forum? A thread here has my site details in it and is affecting my SEO.
I posted on it and asked for it to be deleted, but haven’t had a reply yet.

It is not the general policy to edit or delete forum posts. When a post is made and people contribute answers to an issue, that then becomes part of the community resource for others to benefit from. Deleting posts removes this added value. In extreme circumstances, the moderation team might be persuaded to remove sensitive information but generally, your best course of action is not to publish anything that you wouldn’t want to be public. I’m sorry but this is not an extreme case.
Can I at least have the name of my site taken off of it so it stops popping up when people search for my business?
I think you could edit the post and remove your site details.
It will not let me edit.
The post pops up in EVERY inquiry of my site.
Can’t I just have a mod take the name off? Insert (business name) instead of the actual name?According to the wordpress privacy policy:
Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
WordPress.org discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on WordPress.org’s behalf or to provide services available at WordPress.org’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others.
(I do not agree to have my business name advertised)WordPress.org will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations, as described above, WordPress.org discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when WordPress.org believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of WordPress.org, third parties, or the public at large.
(My business name holds very personal information and I should have the ability to have it removed)WordPress.org takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
(My business name on here leads unwanted attention to my personally-identifying information. I believed I would be able to edit the name out later after my issue was resolved.)I only need one name removed from the post. It appears 3 times. If a mod could message me and offer to help, I can provide the exact name and it can be edited.
I’m sorry but the reason you give to edit a post is not an extreme one:
A thread here has my site details in it and is affecting my SEO.
WordPress.org forums are public. What Google or any other search engine does with public information is not something WordPress.org can control. Maybe you need to speak to Google’s forums: http://groups.google.com/forum/
WordPress.org is the one giving away my personally-identifying information, not google. WordPress.org is using my business name without my permission. This is an issue and is against the privacy policy.
All I want is the name removed. The post itself can stay. I don’t see how I don’t have the right for a company to NOT use my company’s name.
I don’t understand, you said you have an SEO problem.
I meant the post from wordpress keeps popping up when people are searching for my site. Every time someone on any search engine searches for my business, the wordpress post pops up and it looks terrible.
Drahcirnes? Unless it’s an extreme case posts are not edited. One example of an exterme case such as someone is being stalked.
SEO is not ever an extreme case. I am sorry but I am closing this topic.
