How to alter theme text?

Ok, this is a very basic question, but I cannot figure out how to alter the text in a theme I downloaded. My site is:

I go into the template under “presentations”–> “theme editor” and when I change the sample text to my own, the site doesn’t change. Am I missing something really obvious?
