Hi phrog,
The tag groups display in the sidebar and in the catalogue. However, they do not display if there are no products with the tags in question.
So, try adding tags to your products and see if that works, if not we can walk you through step by step to have it displayed. 🙂

I’m having the same issue. I created “Tag groups” and assigned tags to the products but I don’t see the “Tag grouping” in sidebar. The sidebar lists all of the tags.
I would like a step by step if you could.
thanks
Hi Dan,
Do you have the “Display Tag Group” option set to “Show” for your tag group? (This option is found on the edit tag group screen.)
Dan
(@daguilar)
Yes, I do have that setting enabled to “show”.
Hi Dan,
In that case, could you please provide a link to your site, so we can take a look?
Thank you

Do you want admin access or only front-end?
We’ll start by taking a look at the front end, but, if you’d like, you could also send admin credentials to contact@etoilewebdesign.com.

I’ve sent all links and credentials to email address.
Please log in to be able to view the site, I have it “closed” for now.
thanks

Hello, were you able to find out the cause?
Hi Dan,
Speaking with our developers, it looks like the Show/Hide option for tag groups was something we were testing, but, unfortunately, isn’t fully implemented. As such, it isn’t currently possible to display the tag group name. I apologize for any confusion. If you would like to achieve something similar, you could make use of custom fields instead of tags.

Thanks for checking.
Do you have a timeline when it will be available?
Unfortunately, I have many different products and having the tags “grouped” would be beneficial to keep everything organized. Some products will have multiple tags associated with them.
Hi Dan,
We don’t have a timeline for that at the moment, unfortunately.
