How do I edit post before it’s displayed

    I’m creating a plugin that allows you to host images on another server and I need to edit the attachment location before it is displayed. Because it is a plugin I cant permanently change database values in the postmeta table.

    Is there a function that I can use to edit a post before it is displayed?
