I have no idea Marco, but I can give you some pointers;
1. does this happen when JS optimization is off?
2. do you see JS errors on the browser console?
3. do you see the hotjar JS when AO is active? if not have you tried excluding it?
For generic info on troubleshooting in AO (including how to exclude) do have a look at the AO FAQ.

Hi,
thanks for the super-quick response!
1) Yes, with AO active, even if JS optimization is off Hotjar script is NOT loaded
2) No JS error in the console: Hotjar script simply does not appear amongst the js scripts (ma it does appear in the page source: <script async=” src=’https://static.hotjar.com ……>)
3) Sorry, excluding it from what? From AO? How to…it’s an external script (this is not my strong suit…).
Looks like I need a little more advice, please.
Best,
Marco

well, next up; re-enable JS optimization and disable CSS or HTML optimization? 🙂
