    Hi,

    My client want a WP site but the design they want for the home page is quite unorthodox. I can’t find anything like it in premium paid for themes.

    Instead of customising the css for a theme I wonder if it would be easier if I built the homepage myself with my own html and css then set that as the home page. I could build the design they want no problem outside of WP.

    Is it possible to set a web page which is outside of any theme and link that to the rest of the WP site. The internal pages are quite straight forward.
