  • Hi,

Is it possible to set any new products brought over from Square to Hidden by default?

I understand you would like to get the product updates from Square, that makes me think that Square is your sync setting, is this correct?

May I ask, when you said hidden, do you mean to bring the products as out of stock? Can you please provide more details about what is your goal?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hello,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Thanks.

I missed your previous message. I want the default catalog visibility to be “hidden”.

    Hi @julieacwwp

Thanks for providing further information about your inquiry here.

I understand that you would like to set the newly imported products from Square to be hidden by default, correct?

I’m afraid that there isn’t a built-in feature to automatically set imported products to hidden within WooCommerce. However, I can suggest a workaround that may help you achieve your desired outcome.

After you have imported your products from Square, you can perform a bulk edit action in your WooCommerce Products Dashboard to set multiple products as hidden at once. Here’s how to do it:

    • Go to your WordPress Admin Dashboard and navigate to Products > All Products.
    • Select the products you’d like to set as hidden by clicking the checkboxes next to each product title.
    • From the Bulk Actions dropdown menu, choose Edit and then click Apply.
    • In the Bulk Edit window, locate the Catalog visibility field and set it to Hidden.
    • Click Update to save your changes.

This method will set the selected products to hidden, making them invisible on your shop page and search results. Please note that you’ll need to perform this action each time you import new products from Square.

Another option would be to do this via custom coding. Unfortunately, custom coding is not something we can assist with directly. However, I’ll keep this thread open for a bit to see if anyone from the community can lend a hand.

If you have any other questions related to development or custom coding, don’t hesitate to reach out to some of the great resources we have available for support. The WooCommerce community is filled with talented open-source developers, and many of them are active on the channels listed below:

    Hope this helps!
