Hide Document URL / Path

    My website has a public and private section. When users in the private section click on a document in Document Gallery, then the document opens in a new window, which is fine. However, that document URL can be shared with anyone, even people who have not access to the private section. How can I hide the document URL / path of any document in the Document Gallery?

    Hi whitejackdaw,

    I apologize for not replying to your question sooner! I could have sworn I typed a response to this… Maybe I just didn’t click submit after typing…

    Anyway, unfortunately there is nothing that DG can do to prevent unauthenticated access to your attachments. There are some plugins I’ve seen in the past that supported private attachments, but none of the ones I remember seem to have been updated in years.
