Help with Installation – Can’t Login

    I was getting an error on my site, so I tried re-installing the latest version of WordPress. Now I can’t seem to login or finish installing it, because it keeps redirecting me to the same page.

    I get the Welcome page to the 5 minute installation, and it asks for my blog title and email.
    After I enter in both, I get redirected to another page with error messages that say “WordPress database error” and at the bottom it says installation complete. But when I go to my site, or the login page, I get the Welcome to the installation page again. It’s like an endless loop.

    I have tried deactivating plugins, reinstalling, and I still get redirected to that page. Help!

    I’m having the same issue. I found several threads going back several years with people having this issue and nobody having a definitive resolution. Frustrating.

    It’s even more frustrating when someone states whatever problem they’re having, you go there and find the website is installed and working properly, and yet they never say another word 😉

    Sorry, I just checked this thread again. I finally got it fixed by contacting our server host (brinkster), and reinstalling wordpress again.
