Help with .htaccess redirect
-
I’m redirecting my site from sierraplanet.com to sierraplanet.net (at a new host).
I’ve got the main page redirecting properly with .htaccess, but if anyone tries to go to a specific page on the .com site, the redirect fails. http://sierraplanet.com/kqgames/kings-quest-2015/ should redirect to http://sierraplanet.net/kqgames/kings-quest-2015/ but instead comes up as http://sierraplanet.netkqgames/kings-quest-2015/
As you can see, it’s missing a slash. I have not edited the default .htaccess code that WordPress adds.
I’ve tried both
Redirect 301 http://sierraplanet.com/ http://sierraplanet.net/and
Redirect 301 / http://sierraplanet.net/and both result in the missing slash. Is the default WordPress .htaccess code interfering with my redirect and if so, should I edit it at the old site, the new site, or both?
