• Hi. I have one website that has been repeatedly hacked by different people. My other sites (all wordpress and the same host) have not been hacked. The site is http://www.browncofair.com and I have not changed anything so that you can see what has happened.

Over the past couple months when it has happened I have tried changing my passwords and logins and I have even deleted everything from the server and started from scratch with a new wordpress upload, etc. And I have been hacked again. Please help or at least give me some first steps on how to begin to resolve the issue.

    Thanks! Blessings, -Dan

I have now and it looks like there are several things I should start doing. Is there any way to tell what my vulnerability has been or am I going to have to delete everything and start over again from the backup and then secure the site more aggressively? Thanks for your help.

It looks like you have only been defaced. There most likely is just one file changed unlike a virus. Changes recommended by the link above can be made on an existing site.

Is there a way to track down the “one file changed?” When I have been hacked, the username and password for the admin account is changed too.

Don’t forget to check your own pc for malware and to change both wp and ftp passwords. Was any other site on the server defaced?
