Help with formatting

Hi,
I brand new to this so please break everything down for me. I need help formatting my website so that the header menu is vertical across the top instead of a drop down menu and so that I can view my right side bar because right now it’s hidden. I’ve been searching for this for hours! I had the header the way I wanted it and then it switched back, I’m not sure what I did.
