Go look and see if that file is there on the server.
The file is not on the server and when i put a clean version of the file ive got this message :
Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_contextual_help() in /opt/sites/www.xavier.ws/htdocs/wp-admin/network/settings.php on line 22
Then you’re missing even more files. Re-upload the whole /network/ folder and if you still have error, upload all the wordpress files again.
is there a risk to upload the complete folder into my server ?
so u mean that i should upload a “complete install” of wordpress to my server ?
but the wp-config,.htaccess and other files i configured will be changed no ?
No, they won’t, becuase the WordPress installer doesn’t have a wp-config.php file. It has a wp-config-EXAMPLE.php file. It won’t overwrite anything, unless you manually changed core files. Safe as houses.
No, uploading a fresh copy of files from WordPress.org will not overwrite your files.
wp-config.php and .htaccess aren’t part of the files downloaded. They are generated after installation.
Any other files you uploaded (themes/plugins) will be fine.
You can always do a backup of your files first to be safe.
It has a wp-config-EXAMPLE.php file.
*cough* wp-config-sample.php *cough* π
mhh i cant backup all my files, error message :
421 Too many connections (8) from this IP
Then close whatever else you had open to that server.
esmi, Sample, example, meh π
my theme is maybe the cause ?
No. None of the above messages are theme related.
Can you give us a link?
ok i tried to upload the entire folder of wordpress into my ftp server, and it still doestn work. ive got another settings file called “site-settings.php”
