I just installed K2 and LOVE it.

Well, had a wp-polls plugin in an earlier template and so I copied and pasted the ‘wp-polls’ plugin code for ‘General Usage (Without Widget)’ into the sidebar.php code under the Presentation>Theme Editor>Sidebar menu.

Well now I realized I messed up. My entire sidebar is gone, but I deleted the php code that I originally entered. So how could this happen?

    1. How do I remedy this without reinstalling the theme again?

    2. When the problem is resolved how was I correctly supposed to add my poll from my older theme into K2?

    BTW… i’m running WP 2.1.3

    Thanks!

  • 1. Upload a fresh un-altered sidebar.php

    2. Never use that damned online editor. It really should be banned, or at least it should have a big red warning; NO UNDO BUTTON – USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Always make a bakcup copy of all the themes files before starting to mess around.
Always edit on your computer in a plain text editor and uplaod via FTP. If it’s wrong, just re-upload quickly the backup file 🙂

    moshu… btw…

how am i supposed to correctly add that poll then to my k2 theme?

I already FTP’d the wp-poll folder to my hosting plan?

And my ‘Kubrick 1 theme sees the poll. but my K2 doesn’t.. what needs to be done?

    thx

I have no idea. We don’t really know too much about that K2 thing. They have their own support forum, if I remember well.
