• Hello!

So I just upgraded to WP 3.0 and edited the files to activate multiple sites.
So then I uploaded a theme, and wanted to activate it for that site (shows.distinctnews.com) ! then by website (distinctnews.com) completely got ruined. It should be running Mystique but it’s only loading text ! Please tell me how to fix it!!!

    http://www.distinctnews.com/

EDIT: ok. i just replaced everything with the back up. have most my plugins off and it got back to the way it was 😀 yay!
so now i also re-did the update to have the multiple blog.

can you please tell me the safe way on how to keep my current theme, Mystique, on distinctnews.com
and how to put another theme for shows.distinctnews.com ?

    Thanks!

  • you install themes to the main site – then enable them for sub sites from the main site admin

ya I installed them, but how do I enable them? because if I go to http://shows.distinctnews.com/ it says index of which is normal but if i go to http://shows.distinctnews.com/wp-login.php a weird page opens.

so is the last a wrong link or where do i enable the theme from?

    Thanks!

it says index of which is normal

how is that normal? a wordpress blog should show up if you installed it correctly.
Also, the weird page is the host 404 error page – so something is whacked

oh, i thought it’s normal because I didn’t enable a theme for it XD

so what about the 404 page? what do I do about it? :S

    Thanks 😀

so there is no way to do it?

before i upgraded to WP 3.0, my posts used to have a link of distinctnews.com/category/category name
    now, it is distinctnews.com/blog/category/category name

so something has changed which is good, but the question is how to make another sub-directory to make it distinctnews.com/shows/category/category name AND have that distinctnews.com/shows have a different theme.
