    I hope this is simple. I wanted to add a design to my sidebar. My sidebar is plain and ugly. I am willing to learn. I operated better with plugins, but I may have to learn some coding. Any simple advice.

    Do you remember carrying out the steps in this document?

    Custom CSS plugin

    Look in the section of the dashboard for plugins.
    Is there a plugin named something similar to ‘Custom CSS’ or ‘Custom Styles’?

    I do not see a pluggin named CSS and no, I did not complete the Custom CSS..

    I was never prompted while creating my site to look at the steps.

    Is there some coding I need to edit?

    You do later on, but for now try installing this plugin.

    Unzip it.
    Then follow these instructions.

    Upload ‘custom-css-manager/’ to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

    Where can I find this^^^^. I download and unzipped..

    Are you working on a self-hosted website, or WordPress.com as the hosting platform?

    I’m asking as it appears you don’t have access to the directories of your website. There’s another forum for WordPress.com websites.

    ok I found it!!! I had to down load the css manager first..

    But one small problem, when I unzipped the file, it showed my other files instead of a code??
