Headers Already sent message

I know that to fix this you have to look for odd characters or spaces before or after the opening and closing php tags. HOWEVER, I upgraded to WordPress 3.0.1 and what used to work NOW doesn’t. I cannot logout of or login to the backend of my site.

I did not touch any of the core WordPress files. Just the template files.

It is saying that pluggables and login.php have errors in them. All of the spaces at the end have been taken out.

I even took a fresh install of wordpress and copied over the “affected” files.

My client would really like to get in and modify the site.
