never, never edit code via appearance->editor. If you make a mistake, you can bring down your site.
Use FTP to download the file you want to edit. Make a copy (e.g., header-save.php), edit and reupload header.php. Use your favorite editor to do the editing. I prefer Atom, with add-ons for PHPCS to enforce WP coding standards and WordPress autocomplete.
That said, if you’re going to edit theme files, you should be using a child theme because otherwise your changes will be lost when the theme is updated.

ok thanks will do.
How do you use an FTP in the context of a Word Press site? As in the settings for the config once you’ve installed an FTP ?
Has Atom got its own GUI then?

This depends on where you host your site. You should check with your host for details about how to use FTP. It has NOTHING to do with your WP config; it’s all a hosting thing.

Atom is a text editor. https://atom.io/
You could use Notepad if you prefer.
sterndata – would you be able to support me in re-locating an image and including some text into my header on my site?
Put up a link to your site and we’ll see what we can do; but probably when you’re ready, start a new thread for that.
This is a Divi (child) theme. Divi is a commercial theme. When you purchased Divi, it included support. Please login at http://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/divi/ to receive the support you paid for.
