• First, and I don’t know if this matters, but the version I actually have is 2.8.1…

    I am a newbie…so please be gentle…

I use firefox – I’ve created a new header for my wordpress website using xheader – the size is 960px x 100 px – I’ve uploaded it to my website through Filezilla…

    So here’s my questions/problems:

    1. My header isn’t wide enough…the header fits from left to right, but about 1/4 of the right side is blank…when I edit the picture in its file, it shows up the same way…How can I edit the header picture to fit all the way across the top of my website?

    2. The bottom of my header is covered up by the page tabs…it seems like the body of the website is too tall (if that makes sense)…How do I correct this?

Again, newbie here, please be gentle and detailed…Thanks in advance…all help appreciated…

  • Hi,

    Newb lesson #1:

Pretend you arent you, and read your post.

Can you answer any of those question? Nope.

And why not, because you cannot SEE what is being described.

If you want this kind of help, you need to provide a link to where we can SEE what you are trying to describe.

Once you have provided the link, its also easier for you to describe things more clearly.

I hope all responses aren’t as harsh as yours. I stated I was a newbie, all you had to do was ask me to post the link without being so mean…I’m sure you were once a newbie and needed to ask for help so you could learn…and I’m sure you didn’t know all the info you needed to post at first and I’m sure the person/persons who helped you out were much nicer than you were with me…

I hope your day gets better, so you can stop taking it out on people who are just trying to learn the answers to their questions…

there was NOTHING in my reply that was short or rude or harsh — take the chip off your shoulder.
