header image in functions.php

    Is there any way to make a code where it let users to upload an image and use it as a header image?

    if so, how is it done.

    You have to be more explicite about what do you want to do.
    User? as in admin or visitors? (people always mix these)
    Header image? – you mean the header image of the blog?
    (there are several themes that let you do that)

    sorry for not being detailed
    I am creating a theme, where I want to make a custom code in functions.php.
    what it is to do is to add a tab in templates sections. this tag is where users (admins) upload their own image for ie. header of the blog

    if there are several themes that let me do that. can you give me examples of which that do that?
