    Hi, I keep having a reoccurring issue trying to insert an ad beside my logo on the homepage. I’ve tried so many different options and nothing seems to work, it always appears above the latest post bar, can anyone offer advice? This is the website: http://www.thestudentadvertiser.co.uk

    -Also, I would like to keep the latest post section, but wouldn’t be opposed to removing if it would mean I can get the banner ad beside my logo! (I’ve tried removing this before but its only the text that seems to go, the actual black bar stays and the ad stays above it annoyingly).

    It seems like you resolved the problem. Can you please share the solution that you used? I have the same problem

    Hi Kayambi,

    Well to solve this, for using the profitmag theme, we had to find a generic code we could adapt (no experts here) and uploaded the file to the media library ..

    we inserted this into the appearance > theme options > advertising top section ..
    <div class=”banner-ad”>
    <img src=” url of image from media library”>
    </div>

    hope this helps, in no way a wordpress expert lol x
