This plugin got 27 (!) updates in 2018 alone

People, seriously! Its only August and Yoast SEO has just published version 8.0 of its plugin (and 8.0.1 is sure to follow very soon). That makes it version 27 (!) of this plugin in the year 2018 alone. I am not kidding.

If counted from the beginning, you must be somewhere around version 200. That´s too many, ok?

I like your plugin, but are you aware that people have things to do apart from keeping your plugin updated?

Here´s my earlier review, its basically all still true.

I like Yoast SEO. I just switched to it from a theme-based solution (Atahualpa), and Yoast offers a world of new possibilites.

However, I wont give it 5 stars because the massive number of features comes at a price. As a webmaster or blogger you defnitely have to be on the lookout for stability issues. Yoast SEO ist NOT a fire-and-forget solution. There can be bugs, there can be problems with certain setups, featurs are often hard to understand, etc.

On the other hand, they are constantly adding features and SEO is a sort of a running game anyway, so being on the lookout for a malfunction – or possible optimization – in the plugin is just one of several tasks involved with SEO optimization.

And Yoast is probably at least as stable as most of its competitors. So I recomend it (and the people are friendly and helpful!), just not for absolute beginners.
