Googlebots galore

    I have been trying to figure out why I have been getting so many googlebots on my site all at once. There has been as many (that I have seen) as 90 at one time; all active.

    They are coming from Mountain View, Ca (which is correct I believe) and they all have IP’s with 66.249.#.#, the last two numbers varying.

    I’m just trying to see what this means, if there is something wrong, etc.

    Google is omnipresent. 🙂 It may be that your site just got lucky.

    You can try to verify that the bot is actually from Google. Otherwise, is the load causing any harm? Noticeable slowdown, etc?
