    Hi,
I am currently getting a JS error “You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors”. I have seen this error reported previously on the forum by previous users, and the plugin authors have suggested to find the culprit plugin/theme by deactivating them, then find another solution.

I know that my theme is using Google API already, and I do not what to change my theme as it is the core of my product. I do really like the GeoDirectory plugin and have been using it for about 2 weeks now so I have spent time working on it for my listing. I have also purchased the Multi-Locations addon.

My question is, is there anything else I can do to make my theme and GeoDirectoy plugin work together? Is there a development update I can make to make them use the same google API?? I am not a developer, but my husband can help.

If there is nothing I can do, I would like to request a refund for the purchase of the Multi-Locations Addon.

    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Rachel

    Hi,

normally themes have an option to enalble/disable the call to the Google Maps API.

Our plugin doesn’t, because it entirely revolves around it. If there isn’t an option, the theme author should be able to provide a quick snippet to unenqueue the script.

If he isn’t able to provide that, let us know and we will inspect the theme for you and solve the issue.

Given that you purchased an add-on please, submit any other support query in our support forum. We check that far more frequently and you will get a quicker reply.

    Thanks

I’m facing this same issue. I hope this plugin has option to turn off the API call to avoid conflicts.

No it doesn’t, you must turn off the second call from the theme or other plugins or geodirectory will not work.
    Thx

p.s. It’s not that we don’t want to add it… that’s because we call other APIs, like the search address API and we add specific language codes to the API calls, so using the API call of another theme or plugin wouldn’t work.

While other themes or plugins simple calls to the API, would work with our calls as well.

    Thanks
