Google Analytics For WordPress Not Working
-
This is frustrating. I set up a brand new WordPress powered site yesterday and I’m doing some setting up on it. I want to use Google Analytics to track my visitors etc but I cannot for the life of me get the damn thing to work.
I installed GA for WordPress earlier today (version 4.2.8) and when I try to get it to work I just get told the following…
“Google Analytics is not active. You must select which Analytics Profile to track before it can work.”
I’ve set up a GA account for my site and I have a tracking ID…somehow the plugin is failing to talk to Google so that the ID can be deployed throughout my site. I have another site that I had GA set up on and that was working OK but now it too seems to have suffered the same fate. I know I’m not alone as it seems everyone else on the planet who is using this plugin is experiencing similar difficulties. Can someone with vastly superior knowledge to me please point me in the right direction.
