Just go to your plugin and DEACTIVATE it and then delete it.
Just sign up for GOOGLE ANALYITCS and install the code provided yourself. That is all that is necessary.
Hey,
Thanks for your answer.
I can deactivate the Google Analytics by Yoast plugin “no problem”, two questions, why does it have to be deleted if it’s been deactivated, it was already in my WordPress to start with, put there by my web designer “but not activated”.
And why do I need to sign up for GOOGLE ANALYITCS and install the code, as I did this when I first authenticated with my Google account.
Can’t I just get away with deactivating the Yoast plugin.
Sorry to ask these question but like I said I’m a bit dull as far as these things are concerned.
Cheers.
Kev.
Hi,
I think I’m a bit thick as far as this goes, can someone help please, I have deactivated the plugin “Analytics by Yoast”, I haven’t deleted it yet but I can do that “no problem”.
What I’m not sure of is why I have to sign up for GOOGLE ANALYITCS and install the code provided myself, as I thought I did this when I originally set the up the plugin.
If I remember right, when I set the plugin up I was prompted to enter a code, I’m not quite sure what the code was but I think it was UA-32574670-1
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
Kev.
