• Am using WordPress + Slimstat 4.3.1.1 (without add-ons).

Tried it a few days now and have to say it’s a good if not the best plugin to get insight in visitors traffic. Am not using add-ons as the basic version is more then enough for me.

Did had a problem with 4.3.1 as the textarea fields were not saved but that was solved quickly by support.

I do have some remarks but that is not changing my mind about giving 5 stars as it are minor things.
    – Have to say that the support topics are getting a “resolved” tag rapidly and maybe sometimes to fast
    – also “spamming” for creating a review is in some cases not appropriate

ah well hope you guys will keep on the good work.

    Bluefox,

thank you for your kind words. As for your remarks, yes… “begging” for a review might not be appropriate, however it is an innocent way to remind people that behind the support they receive (for free) and behind the software they use (again, for free), there are people who dedicate countless hours of their spare time to it. A review doesn’t cost you any money, and at the same time it gives other users information on how good/bad this software and its support is. It is common for open source software users to only post on these forums when they have a problem, which gives the impression that the software is poorly designed and implemented. With our “begging” we just try to encourage people to rebalance this skewed perception.

    Best,
    Jason.

Thx for the clarification Jason and yes you have some good points there.

Actually I’m aware of the things you mentioned as I did take part in development of a free script myself so can fully understand it.
