Getting WordPress site to go live

    So I have finally finished all of the site. I can only log on to it using my computer using Localhost. How do i put it up on actual servers.
    I did search on google and this site.Nothing i found made sense to me. Im in highschool doing co op at this place. Please bear with me. I need all the help i can get. I have no idea on how to do this.

    Do you want to move all of the content as well? Or just the plugins & theme?

    My boss is talking about a connection string that i can use. To set it up to the servers. What is the connection string.
    I understand that this is a very noob question. I have never done anything like this before. but do i do moving wordpress within your site?

    No. If I understand your situation correctly, you are moving WordPress from one server to another.
