• I like the multi-lingual option of k-news, but would like to use the plugin only as some kind of “double-optin”-Newsletter-Collector to make the subscribtion and unsubscription possible for my users.

The send-engine is much to underpowered for my newsletters, so after exporting the email-adresses I will send the newsletter NOT with k-news, but with some external service. This seems to work well so far, BUT how I can deal with the unsubscribe?

I saw in the templates that the unsubscribe- button is generated in a variable like %unsubscribe_href%, but of course during sending a newsletter with the k-news engine. in the newsletter appears eventually a link like this:
    http://www.test.com/?knews=unsubscribe&e=1&k=6879954a&n=1&id=2

(similar with the external link for the newsletter: http://www.test.com/?knews=readEmail&id=1&e=5&k=2)

Now my question: is it possible to have a “neutral” link for the unsubscription, which is not bound to the newsletter-send-engine of k-news?

Somethink like http://www.test.com/?knews=unsubscribe&email=1&k=123456789, in which email is the internal number of the email, and k can setup before sending out a newsletter for as a temporarly code. or something.

Any other suggestion? How can I use an external newsletter service and create my own unsubscribe link?
