general canonical settings … gone?

    my site runs on both http and https and as far as I remember there always was a general canonical setting option to chose between “default”, “force http” and “force https”. Where did this option go?

    Right now Google picks up both versions of every page thereby creating duplicate content.

    If the setting option has been removed…is there a workaround? Any help would be appreciated.
