If there is an answer to this, you may just find it is easier just to move to another hosting service.
Yes, you can use the same database for WordPress and Gallery2, and no, they won’t fight.
You can even get them to play nicely together with the WPG2 plugin.
I’ve installed wordpress into the same server and database, nice to see they integrate ok 🙂 I’ve installed the WPG2 plugin but can’t get it to validate 🙁 I’m running Gallery 2.2.3 and wordpress 2.3 but for some reason WPG2 isn’t happy even if I do have all the right paths and G2 modules loaded
Perhaps change hosts. I use servage.net for years and they have huge storage allowances and unlimited everything. Runs about $6 to $8 a month with constant bonus storage space and bandwidth allowances. Right now I think I have a dozen MySql databases running. Never an issue.
its actually better if you have them in the same database, so you’re all set there. what kind of errors are you getting when you try to validate? the wpg2 forums are very useful too.
