    We have a wordpress.org website with the Fundify theme.
    We have also installed user role editor plugin.
    When someone with the “Author Role” tries to upload a picture or a media,
    the upload window show an error message (picture 1)
    there are the capabilities of the author in our database (wp-options):

    s:6:”Author”;s:12:”capabilities”;a:10:{s:12:”delete_posts”;b:1;s:22:”delete_published_posts”;b:1;s:10:”edit_posts”;b:1;s:20:”edit_published_posts”;b:1;s:7:”level_0″;b:1;s:7:”level_1″;b:1;s:7:”level_2″;b:1;s:13:”publish_posts”;b:1;s:4:”read”;b:1;s:12:”upload_files”;

    As you can see the Author have the permission to upload files.
    Can you explain me how to fix this problem ASAP?

    Thanks Andrew, obviously I’ve already contacted him, but I was not yet responded, I wanted to know if there was someone that can give me a hand, rather than telling me things I already know…

    Alternatively use a theme we support: http://wordpress.org/themes/

    However, if you have yet to determine whether this is a theme issue you need to go down the route of deactivating all your plugins and switching to the default Twenty Fourteen/ Thirteen theme to explore this. This is a fundamental debugging process that mostly exposes the issue, as it is considered a default installation does not have your issues.

    If still that doesn’t help try asking your hosting providers for access to your website’s error logs, and view them at the time the issue occurs. Then paste here the error message.

    rather than telling me things I already know…

    We’re not psychic, unless you tell us what you already know we won’t know not to tell you.
