Functionality Breaks when logged out.

Using my clients gmail address, I can set up Contact Form 7 with Postman just fine. But the moment I re-set their gmail password (before handing everything back over to them), the form breaks and says “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.”
How do I develop this functionality and then be able to allow them to re-secure their own email after the development work is done? I don’t understand how it’s dependent on the gmail password. That seems odd.
