I also wish to exclude the widgets on my calendar page. Please advise.
Hey @hobbituk,
Thanks for using The Events Calendar, I’m happy to help! In order to help, I would like to get some more information from you, if I can:
-First, if you could please test for conflicts by following this documentation? Let me know what you find. This will help me determine how deeply we need to look into the specific configuration of your site, or if this is a bug. 🙂
-Can you send me a link to your site so I can see this firsthand? I’m a visual person, and I can often be more helpful in giving solutions to problems I can see and interact with.
@coopercromar,
Feel free to keep following this thread. However, we’d LOVE to help you more individually. We’ll be able to give you much better assistance if you can please open a separate thread for your similar issue. 🙂
Thanks!
Shelby 🙂

Hi @shelbelliott,
Thanks for pointing out this troubleshooting page.
1. It seems we have a conflict. The conflict is a theme conflict. The theme I’m using is “Virtue” from Kadence Themes : https://www.kadencethemes.com/product/virtue-free-theme/
However, I also notice the problem happens with the 2015 and 2014 themes (i.e. the side bar is still present) but it doesn’t happen with the 2016 theme.
The Kadence themes are quite popular. I’m not an experienced wordpress user so I don’t know if something in the code has changed between 2015 and 2016
2. The link to the site is http://homelands.me.uk/index.php/events/
This is using the ‘default events template’. You can see that it pushes the menu below the calendar. The theme also has an option for a ‘fullwidth’ page template, but this simply has the sidebar on the right hand side of the page.
Please let me know if you require anything further
Kind regards
Neil
Hey Neil,
It seems like you may just be able to remove those widgets out of the sidebar if you’re not using that sidebar anywhere else on the site as an easy fix for this issue?
Unfortunately we’re not able to support many theme conflicts because there are just simply too many themes out there! Let me know if the above suggestion will work for you, or if you need more assistance with doing that. 🙂
Best,
Shelby
Hi @shelbelliot
Thanks for the reply.
How would I remove the sidebar from the template that the page uses? Unfortunately it’s just the default Tribe theme and i couldn’t see anything on the php page that made it clear how to remove the inclusion of the sidebar – can I edit a file somewhere to remove those?
Kind regards,
Neil
Hey @hobbituk,
Since the issue doesn’t occur with the default themes (ie Twenty-Sixteen), the code is not being dictated by our plugin, but by your theme. If you could please just try going to Appearance>Widgets in your dashboard and removing those widgets from the sidebar, I think this will solve the problem you have.
Best,
Shelby
