  • Hello Jeff!

I’ll try embedding your same file, let’s see how it goes.

If it doesn’t work, I suggest trying another site for uploading images.

    Embed block.

Edit: Since that didn’t work, let’s try using an image block instead of an embed block.

    Hello Jeff,

On the imgbb website, try right-clicking the image and copying the image link. It should end in “.jpg” or another file extension.

Then, once you have it copied, create an Image block and paste the image link into the block. It should embed the image properly then.

I hope this works for you!

The point i was making is that it appears to be a bug. If it’s showing as an embed in the preview, surely it should show in the post itself!

It’s not obvious where to submit a bug report here (I’m not a developer)

Oh okay! In that case you can submit a bug report ticket here: https://meta.trac.wordpress.org/newticket

I apologize for the confusion, thanks for clarifying!

Hi,The WordPress.org support forums do not always embed images from external hosting services. In many cases the forum will only display the link rather than the image itself after the post is published. This is expected behavior for security and moderation reasons.Users can still click the link to view the image, but the forum may not display the embedded preview in the final post.Thanks.
