I’m using Product Catalog on my website and it works great – but I have a issue that when two products have the same name (which happens sometimes because I sell vintage cars), the URL are not unique, so it shows the content for the wrong car (whichever one I added first).

I’ve been changing the URLs by hand, but is there a way to do that automatically?

  • Hi isabelast,

It is important to have a unique slug for each product that you have added in the plugin. Slugs are created automatically when you add a product. So, while adding a product, make sure to add a unique name or number at the end of each slug (e.g., make or model of the car). That way, you will have unique slug for each product in your catalogue.

Alternatively, you can try entering a custom structure for your permalinks (under WordPress “Settings” –> “Permalink” tab). For example, try adding the tags %minute%/ or %second%/ under custom structure and see if that makes any difference.
