    Hello,

Apologies if this was answered already in the past, but I couldn’t see it in previous topics.

I am trying to find a way to edit a footer section (ideally not via the footer.php editing). I don’t want to remove Anders’ credit, but I need to add more things, like business address/contact details, social media icons, and perhaps a newsletter subscribe field. Hopefully there is a convenient solution to this.

    Thank you in advance!

PS – Chaplin is a fantastic theme! Thank you Anders!

    Hi @mwinterm,

Glad you like it! Your best bet would probably be to use widgets, based on how you describe your needs. That will insert the content above the footer menu and copyright section, like in the bottom of the demo site.

If you need the content to be displayed next to the footer menu and copyright info, I’m afraid the only option is to copy over the footer.php file to a child theme and modify it there.

    Hi @anlino,

Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I suppose I will try the widget option. It seems like the most viable solution in these circumstances, and should do the job just fine.

PS – hoping you will continue to release occasional theme updates. Thanks again!
