I’m using responsive / collapse tables that include a foogallery Lightbox shortcode in one of the columns. These work fine when the window width is wide enough to show that column, but when the window is resized smaller and the table collapses, the foogallery thumbnails change to grey boxes and cannot be clicked. Resizing the pages back up returns them to a working state.

Is this an issue with tablepress, or with foogallery? I had tried other lightbox plugins before with the same issue. This is most significantly an issue with mobile devices, where the images do not appear at all.

    Thanks if you can help.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Hi,

    thanks for the link!

I can reproduce the problem of the images only showing gray boxes when the collapse mode is used. Unfortunately, I can not find an exact cause for this though 🙁 My feeling is that the Foogallery plugin seems to be doing lazy-loading (i.e. only load images from the server when they are actually needed on the page), and that it only does that when the image is scrolled into view, but not when it’s suddenly appearing when expanded from a collapsed table row. Such a behavior would have to be added in the Foogallery plugin. I don’t see anything that I could change here in TablePress or the TablePress Extension. Sorry.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Hello, thanks for the suggestion! I’ve checked in Foo Gallery and there is a lazy loading option which I’ve disabled. Of course, this feature is useful elsewhere on the site, so I’m using another image plugin to only remove lazy loading from that particular page. Looking this issue up on Foo Gallery forums seems to suggest it’s a common issue..
    Thanks!
