Font Awesome problem after update

Hello dear community!

I have an issue with the WP Download Manager Plugin since I’ve updated it today. The plugin collides with something else on the page so Font Awesome Icons (like the little downward arrows in the menu implying a dropdown) are shown as a little square.

Until now, the fix was to go to the Plugin Settings, and in the box called “Disable Style & Script” check the “Font Awesome” option. When I did this, everything was displayed correctly until the update today. Now, the “Font Awesome” disable option is checked, but it doesn’t do anything. Symbols are shown as little squares. When I deactivate the plugin, everything is fine, so it seems like since the update, the “disable styles -> Font Awesome” has no effect anymore. How can I fix this? It’s not only in the menu, but also on every FA icon within the page.
