Font Awesome library missing?
-
I’m currently developing a site using Understrap, and have started out by creating and activating a child theme. I was under the impression that Understrap came bundled with the Font Awesome library, but so far I haven’t seen any evidence that this is in fact true. I don’t see any references to the font awesome library in the underlying source code, and I when I try to display font awesome icons in any of my pages or template files, I just get broken icons. So what’s the deal? Does Understrap no longer come bundled with Font Awesome? Or if it does — then where is it hidden? And what’s the proper syntax for displaying icons?
NOTE: By the way — before anyone asks — I am NOT using Understrap in the “modern” way that it was intended to be used, meaning that I’m not using SASS or doing any local compiling or bundling of any sort. I’m just overriding and customizing individual template files as needed, as well as modifying the main style.css file within my child theme folder. I’m not sure if this detail is relevant or not, but figured I should mention it just in case.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
— Yvan
