Hi! I am extremely new to WordPress, having only taken a beginning workshop in it and a beginner workshop in CSS. Somehow I have ended up pulling together a website, which included downloading existing files, modifying locally and uploading to a staging site. I am having a couple of issues that I hope someone can help me with.

    1. While modifying the CSS, it seems I have messed up the text in the nav bar for the mobile site (letters are aligning vertically) and I’m not quite sure how to fix this.

    2. I would like the 3rd link in the nav bar to link to its own page, rather than just be a header for a drop-down menu. Not sure how to do this.

    3. Less important for now is the front page banner which is not centred and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to centre it. This is more apparent on the mobile site.

There are other issues I am having (namely with 3rd party plug-ins) and some of the design is not done, but I was hoping that someone could help me with these other things for now. I appreciate any help at all.

    Thanks in advance!

    *crickets*

I know it’s probably super annoying to have someone who doesn’t really know what they’re doing come here and ask people to resolve their code for them, but I guess I’m kind of desperate.

I assure you that the volunteers that help out here in the forums are very happy to try and help sort through all types of troubles. It’s just that there aren’t enough of us here to catch everything as soon as it comes in, so patience is a must 🙂

Regarding your issues, you’re using a commercial theme which has it’s own support system: http://www.nimbusthemes.com/contact/. This forum isn’t able to support themes whose code we don’t have access to. Plus we like to support the theme authors by directing issues to them so that they can see where issues are arising and hopefully adapt them accordingly.

Definitely re-visit this forum whenever you have any troubles that aren’t theme related. We’ll get you fixed up! Best of luck.
