Hi, 1 week ago hosting server collapsed and after that the site wasn’t showing any posts. After everything I’ve tried, it was impossible to get the posts up and running.

#144 – Table ‘./database_name/wp_posts’ is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed

I was forced to create a new database. Now I’m working on my new database, started from a scratch and 5 years of work are lost.
Before I’ve transferred to this hosting, I have a backup till 2016, so maybe only 1 year is lost.

Hosting is not helping, they are just posting some urls that everyone can find on google. I’m unable, also they can’t run root access coz it’s shared hosting plan.

    I have 2 questions:

1.Is it possible to fix this database?

2.Is there a way to import all old posts from my ***.sql.gz file without erasing this week posts?

  • First, try checking the the wp-options table in your database .sql file and locate the value for the option name db_version. That should let you know what version of WordPress you would need to install initially if you want to use this older backup.

After few months, database seems to be ok today. That ‘in use’ status on wp_posts is gone now.
However I’ve created new database then and I’m using that new database now. But, still trying to get access to old database also, like archive database.
Easiest way seems to be access to two databases at same time, but don’t know if that’s possible. We’ll see! 🙂
    Thanks Esmi!
