    Do you mean where the links are referred from? Where they point does not exist, there’s nothing to eliminate there 🙂 Search your posts and pages from the admin area list table screen for the specific filenames. For example, search “high-hog-in-black-wplogo.jpg”. For best results, don’t include domain and path, search just the filename.

    If that doesn’t yield results, use the Better Search and Replace plugin to seek out erroneous filenames and replace with valid filenames.

    If there are still 404s, they’re probably links generated from template code. Check your access log for such 404 errors and note the referring page. Determine what template is used for the referring page. There are plugins that will tell you which template is used for the current page. You’ll need to locate the code that generates the URL and the nature of the code will dictate the best way to correct the link.
