Hi,
thanks for your post.
No, the new interface only allows the current search. The reason for this is that this now uses the same functionality that WordPress uses on similar screens, like on the Posts or Pages screens.
In WP-Table Reloaded, this was indeed a custom JavaScript solution, but that doesn’t work anymore in TablePress. Sorry 🙁
Now, why exactly do you want the old filtering back? Doesn’t the search return the same results?
About making the cells wider: Please see this TablePress Extension on the plugin website: http://tablepress.org/extensions/input-field-size/

Thanks Tobias,
I wanted filter back because it was just an easier option to search the many tables I have. I would just have to type one of 2 letters for the actual table to come up as opposed to typing the whole thing and waiting for search…no big deal…just a time thing. Search works fine…
Hi,
ah, yeah, ok. That makes sense then…
Sorry that this is not available anymore.
It might be possible that WordPress gets something like this, once those screen get more AJAX functionality in the future. I’ll then of course integrate it into TablePress as well.
Best wishes,
Tobias
Hi – I am just looking for some examples of the filter extension so i can see if it works for my needs before I install. Can you provide a link to some examples of how the filter works? Thanks! The plugin looks fantastic.
Hi,
thanks for your post.
The Filtering Extension is explained at http://tablepress.org/extensions/row-filter/ and it contains a few example Shortcodes there.
I’m not really sure what other examples I could provide 🙁 Your best choice would be to check it out.
Best wishes,
Tobias
