file upload folders?

I recently upgraded to WP 3.6.1. I cannot find any of my “upload” file folders. I know they must be there because I can still access my information. BUT I need to be able to see and access these folders – where are they? I can open FileManager – but my folders are not there. The URL leads me to “wp-content/uploads/folder name” – but where is this on the dashboard?
