FeedWordPress deleting posts?

    Hi there,

    I’m using feedwordpress to dump about 60 RSS feeds into a wordpress blog. It works like a charm for that….

    However, I have some questions. Why do I keep getting duplicate posts? Is that just something having to do with how RSS works? Sometimes I’ll get the same post 10 times from the same feed.

    And the other issue is, why does it delete posts? Feedwordpress is the only thing dumping content into my blog. Right now I’ve got about 300 entries but new posts are numbered in the 500’s. FeedWordpress appears to have deleted 200 posts so far. I’m guessing these were all duplicates, but how does it know when something’s a duplicate? Is this another basic RSS issue rather than a feedwordpress issue?

    I too use FeedWp & have duplicate posts. Don’t know why it’s doing that. But that’s the least of my worries. I have 30 or so feeds and thousands of posts & once you get beyond a certain threshhold the feed updating doesn’t work right. I warn you that this may happen to you. The plugin author doesn’t seem to reply to inquiries. Frustrating situation. I wish someone would try to improve upon this plugin w. something technically more reliable.
