Nicely done! As a book lover, looks like a lively, interesting and informative site. As a web designer, it appears well organized and easy to navigate. My only critique is that the header is so large that it pushes your actual content below the fold. I’d reduce it a little so that your valuable content is visible at first glance.
@jtdataworks… Thanks for your comments. I didn’t know that it looks fine on my screen. What you are refering to is that you have to scroll sideways to see everything??? My header size is 900px by 360px.
crysacraig: Nope, don’t have to scroll sideways on a 15″ screen, but I can only see down to the 1st paragraph of your actual content. Can’t see the book graphics which are an eye catching way to pull people down into your content (and money making area)
Of course, that may be just a personal preference. I think of a header as an introduction to the content and believe it should not overpower the content. I still struggle to keep my own headers to a reasonable size. 🙂
