I have run into a snag, and would appreciate your thoughts.

I have a worker publishing podcasts for me, to whom I assigned an “editor” role on our WordPress site to be able to do this. We have possibly a dozen new series each year (they are class recordings), and she has been happily creating new series and podcast episodes with relative ease.

However, when she creates a new series she cannot set the “feed details” for each series because those details are in the Settings area, which are admin-only. Wouldn’t it make more sense to have those settings in the series properties area?

The feed details are are turning out to be critical to making the series show up and work correctly for our students. Is there any way around this at this time, other than to make her an admin?

Loving the plug-in. Thanks so much!

Currently, the only way to do that is to make your user an admin (or to assign them the manage_options capability).

When WordPress 4.4 is released later this year, it will allow taxonomy term meta data to be added, which will allow me to move the feed details to the series taxonomy edit screen. I fully plan on doing that, but it is not currently possible to do inside WordPress until the 4.4 update is released.

So I’m afraid you will need to wait a bit until this is properly corrected.

    Cheers,
    Hugh
