Hello, @kvandam.
Thank you for using our theme, we appreciate it.
The most likely reason why you can’t find how to change Featured Posts is that you updated the theme version to the latest one (v 2.2) and you haven’t installed and/or activated Kirki plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/kirki/
I believe that you’ll see a notice about it on your dashboard or in the Customizer. So, once you install and activate it, everything will be back to normal.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused by this.
If you have additional questions, feel free to ask.
Kind regards.
@kvandam After you update to the latest version of the theme and install/activate Kirki, please go to Appearance > Customize > Front Page > Featured Posts to set up the featured posts on the home page.
Hello, I have the most updated version of all WordPress, Kale and Kirki and still fail to see the option to customize my featured posts. Could you please guide the way?
Hi joeychan.
Thank you for contacting us.
It might be that your server has an outdated PHP version because this can cause the Kirki plugin to not function properly.
Could you please install and activate https://wordpress.org/plugins/send-system-info/ and see what gets reported for PHP and MySQL version? If it is anything below version 5.6.x please contact your hosting support and ask them to perform an upgrade.
Please let me know what happens.
Kind regards.
I installed Kirki and also updated to PHP 5.6 and I’m still unable to access this feature. My customize menu no longer even has a “front page” option so I can’t even remove the old one. Please advise. I love this theme but that post is outdated so I’ll have to change themes if I can’t get it working.
Update: I fixed it myself.

Hello,
I downloaded your theme yesterday and love it. I am also having issues updating the featured posts. It appears to have my recent post selected but still shows the deleted post as my featured post.
I have the latest version of the 3 required plugins and tried https://wordpress.org/plugins/send-system-info/ as well. Still no luck.
Insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi @keepingitupbeet,
First of all you need to clear your browser cache to make sure the reason of this is the cache.
If that doesn’t help you should disable “Show Example Content” inside Appearance → Customize → General Settings section.
Hope that helps.
Best
Thank you so much for getting back to me. I tried both things and neither of them worked :(. Still seeing the original “hello world” content that I have deleted.
Hi keepingitupbeet.
Please try this.
Set those featured posts to some other posts you have on your website. If you don’t have other posts, please create a few dummy posts, then select those. After that, click the “Publish” button in the customizer.
After you do that, select those posts that you DO want to have as the featured posts. Then click “Publish” again.
This should, hopefully, clear that issue.
Please let me know what happens.
Kind regards.
That fixed it! Thank you so much.
