Featured page text disappearing

Just now, I went in to edit the featured page description text on the front page. It appeared on the page during editing and after saving and publishing.

However, when I closed the Customiz’it menu and was taken back to the dashboard, I clicked to view the site and saw nothing but ellipses in place of the text I’d typed.

When I go back into the Customiz’it menu, the text is right there in the edit box, just as it was before, and only reappears on the page after I make an edit.

Can someone help? This is my business site landing page! Thanks.

If you modify using Customize page you can watch the changes in real time. But they are just a preview. They do not get saved unless you press “Save and Publish”. You’ll need to do it again and this time actually press the Save button. It’s at the top.

When I remove the text from the edit box and then “Save and Publish,” there are no ellipses. I put the text back into the edit box, and hit “Save and Publish,” and I get the ellipses.

The text I typed remains in the edit box. It’s there every time I go back in to re-edit. So the theme recognizes that there is something in that edit box, but it’s substituting it w/ellipses.

I can see the text under your bubbles. The only one that doesn’t actually have a text is the middle one, which has three dots as text.

If, on the contrary, you want to hide the text and only display the bubbles, either input

&nbsp;
```
in the textbox. Or you could always add this to your custom CSS:
```
.widget-front p[class^="fp-text-"] {display: none;}
```

The ellipses you see under the middle bubble should actually be text. The text is still sitting in the edit box. It just won’t publish. I just tried again a moment ago.

The same thing is happening to me. I have text on my featured page and also in the Featured Page Two box and all that shows are the 3 dots. Features 1 and 3 are working fine but the center feature text will not display.

Really need to fix this! Anyone can help that would be great.

Anyway it’s a weird behavior..
What happens if you use an excerpt for that page in edit page screen?

I have tried it all three ways – just in the feature box, just in the page, and then with both. I also have a local host set up on my computer and I do not have this problem. I just updated the themes on my localhost and on the iPage server. It’s just the iPage server that’s giving me this problem. Not sure why.

This is my first time posting – did not realize I need to start a new topic – thank you for the advice – and also for responding.

This issue is fixed. I shortened the text to under 200 characters…
